Hey collectors! Anyone specifically collecting the Nords? If so what are your coolest cards or stories?
My collection is over 7000 and counting. The goal includes every player that played at least one game with them (WHA/NHL) and ALL their career cards as well. I'll never run out of cards and items to collect eventhough they ceased to exist in 1995.
They had some rough (bad) teams in the 80's, but the 90's saw Sakic, Nolan, Sundin then later Forsberg sniping for them. Wow!

Haha, yes Lindros provided the base for their Stanley Cup win as the Avalanche. There are a few cards with him holding a Quebec jersey.

I understand your interest, not to mention that those cards tend to be really good looking as the white and blue turns out quite well with most card designs.
Fingers crossed for Quebec City to relauch the Nordiques, and Montreal's Baseball Group to find a way to bring a new edition of the Expos in the near future ;-)

Superb! Let's connect when you have your collection updated. I now have over 9000 cards. Trading on this TCDB got me to this level.

I'm not big into hockey, but I would love to see the return of the Nordiques, though if there was one team I'd like to see first its the Hartford Whalers. For some reason I liked them. Baseball is more of my thing, but I'd also be very happy to see the Expos make a return to MLB. I wouldn't sacrifice my Royals, but I'd be okay of the Rays moved up there.
Can't help on any cards though, but if I ever do find a few I guess I know who to seek out.

Grew up watching the Nordiques and Bruins. I have cards on your wantlist. Not accepting trades at the moment but we could work a deal soon.

Trying to acquire one card for every for every set, insert, parralle, minor, euro, team issue, oddball etc sets produced for Hockey. Been an interesting project.

Nice! Yes it would be cool to see the Expos in action again. Currently the BlueJays are a fun team to watch with all their young stars in the making. It's cool to look at what stars played for these old defunct teams, hockey or baseball.
