The rules:
Participation is limited to the 5 members who answered task 4 correctly (they are listed after the question/task). The first correct response to Round #5 will be the grand prize winner. We will have 1st through 5th place prizes. Order of correct answers will be the order of prizes. Your response should only contain links (absolutely no commentary, anything other than links will become an ignored post and will disqualify you). Some question/tasks will require 1 link, some may require as many as 4 links. Read the question/task carefully. Responses will always be links to cards on TCDB. Some of the clues given may force you to go to other websites to do research, but ultimately, the links you provide will be cards here on TCDB. Also, beware copying someone who posts links before you. There is always the possibility that they were incorrect.
Edited responses will be ignored. Responses will simply be reviewed in the order in which they come in. If you think you were incorrect, post a new response. Only your last response will be the one counted. So if you were right and then post an incorrect answer, you will be considered incorrect. All links must be present in a single post (if multiple links are required). If 4 links are required, and you post 2 and accidently hit submit, the next response you post needs to have all 4, not just the other 2.
OK, now that we have that out of the way....
Your final task:
One of the worst "jobs" I had with The Baseball Card Shop in Westville, NJ when I was younger in volved the 1982 Fleer set. If you know anything about the Fleer vending boxes, in 1981 they were neatly organized where the boxes were labelled 1, 2, 3, or 4. Then there were 495 cards in the regular part of the box with 5 cards stuck in the back perpendicular to the other cards. THose 5 cards were "extras". If you took the 495 cards in Box #1, and the first 165 cards in Box #2, you would have the full 660-card set. The 330 that remained in Box #2 coupled with the first 330 in Box #3 would make a second complete set, then the leftovers of Box #3 with all of box #4 would make the 3rd set. (I sorted a couple cases for the shop owner in 1981, they were a breeze.) However, Fleer royally messed up in 1982. The boxes were not packed with the precision of 1981's boxes. In fact, it was almost as if they had someone who wanted to sabotage the whole operation packing them. Sometimes we'd see 5 to 10 of the same card in a row, and we would up having to empty the entire contents of this case and sort the whole thing down. Worst part was, I think there were no complete sets out of the nearly 12,000 cards in thw case! However, the 1982 set had an amazing card with Steve Carlton & Carlton Fisk on it titled "Steve & Carlton" and then under it was "Carlton & Fisk". Obviously, these 2 players are not included in this task. This will be a Baseball "Before And After" - If you're familiar with Wheel of Fortune, you've seen puzzles called "Before and After" where the puzzle will be two phrases linked by a common word - the last word of one and the first word of the other. An example of this would be "The glass is half full of one's self", where "full" is the word linking the two phrases. Similar to the "Carlton & Fisk". I will give you one name - the name to end on: https://www.tcdb.com/ViewCard.cfm/sid/57893/cid/2532619/1980-87-SSPC-HOF-15-Alexander-Cartwright. Now, I have been able to link 4 other baseball players in this manner BEFORE getting to Cartwright.
Your task is to post links to a card from each of the 4 players in the order in which we would get from the first one, second one, third one, fourth one, then to Cartwright. (Example, if I was asking for this with 2 players and the final was "Fisk Green", you would be providing links to a Steve Carlton card and then a Carlton Fisk card.) [Hint: Remember ORDER is key!]
