I was wondering if anyone can tell me if cards from this set with the comic ball holograms have any real value higher than the other hologram variants, or if they're all about the same.

This isn't possible to say. There has not been a market established for them and across the hobby as a whole, few know about them. It would take a few years of mainstream awareness to really determine what their values are. Even then, they would likely fluctuate greatly from player to player based on availability and determination of specific player collectors.
