“ It has been a few months since we have seen one of these for the random card o the day. I am mixed about these. To me they are commemorate playing cards with a baseball theme (there are other sports themes as well as entertainment) I don't like how the backs are not too identifiable to their team/theme. The sort of are, but sort of not. Some of the other sets are more disassociated from their team/theme. ” -captkirk42

Depends on how you define "trading card".  Not all playing cards are listable, but they are as long as they meet the criteria listed in the FAQ:

https://www.tcdb.com/FAQ.cfm?ITEM=PlayingCards

Playing cards should meet the following criteria:

  • Is it ok to add entries for playing cards?
    • The deck should have a cohesive theme (ie. should not just be regular playing cards)
    • The subjects on the cards should be ones of interest to collectors of regular trading cards
    • Each card should have a different image of the subject (including across suits)

In my book it is a collectible playing card, or as I said a commemorative playing card.

My Trade List is very much a work in progress

Hi guys, I'm sorry to put this here but is there a forum on this site where I can start a discussion thread?

Saw his son, Preston, play this week.  Not looking like he has much of a big league career in his future if he doesn't get some solid coaching, soon.
