Card: #291 Leo Durocher

“ Standing in line for these baseball cards shoots sure does become boring. ” -addysdaddy

“ Being from the Chicago area and a White Sox fan, I actually felt bad for the Cubs. P.S. Who is this manager for the Cubs? Might be a reason why they haven't won the World Series in over 100 years! ” -carthage44

Set: 1981-82 O-Pee-Chee (Rate)

Card: #378 Dave Christian

“ This card details the team leaders for the Jets during their woeful 1980-81 campaign. The club managed only 9 wins and 32 points that season. Things brightened in 1981-82 as they accumulated 33 wins and 80 points and made the playoffs, although losing to St. Louis Blues in the Norris Division Semi-Finals. ” -Gunny

“ Well I learned a little french today. Goal = But. I'm afraid to find out what Home Run is in French. ” -bplay24

“ Ahh the True Winnipeg Jets logo. ” -Mike67

Set: 1986 Topps (Rate)

Card: #289 Mike Merriweather

"My favorite football set of the 80's although I have never figured out why the yard line design is not evenly spaced. I remember Merriweather being fast and hitting hard. In today's NFL he would probably get many roughing the QB penalties because of the namby-pamby rules." -Scott Sawyer

“ A set worse than the 1985 release...wow ” -addysdaddy

“ Is this Brandon Merriweather's of the Chicago Bears, father? ” -carthage44

Set: 1992 Classic Best (Rate)

Card: #78 Ray Jackson

"In 1992 Ray Jackson hit .200 with an OPS of .562 and struck out 125 times in 496 AB. He did manage to get hit-by-pitch 18 times, He stole 23 of 37 bases and had 9 errors. He seems to have been out of baseball in 1993 and played on an independent team in 1994 to close his career. He looks so hopeful here and I hope he is somewhere doing something he loves and looks back fondly on his professional baseball career." -Scott Sawyer

"Clinton Jackson was best known for wearing a jersey that was smaller than the t-shirt under it." -haogaole

“ Looks like he is standing in front of a television production truck. ” -addysdaddy

Card: #NNO John Romano

“ . o O (Hmm. If I swing the bat at precisely 52 mph and 23 degrees, I should be able to bank it off the foul pole...) ” -wmcduff

“ Johnny Romano sounds like a character on The Sopranos. ” -ashnsports

“ A native of New Jersey, Romano had a few good years as a catcher with the Tribe. ” -Dave Sosidka

Set: 1996 Topps (Rate)

Card: #29 Andujar Cedeno

“ Anduj... somebody, apparently. Looks like he's strolling. No hurry, batter hit it to the corner, perhaps. ” -wmcduff

Set: 1981 Donruss (Rate)

Card: #35 John Stearns

"A solid first design for Donruss. Very cheap card stock though. The one thing I really didn't like about Donruss for years was the lack of full year-by-year stats on the back." -Scott Sawyer

“ Of all of the major sets issued in the 1980's, which one had the lowest production numbers? You might be surprised to know that it's the 1981 Donruss, which was never issued in factory sets, but arrived at dealers in rubber bands around stacks of individual players. ” -Dave Sosidka

“ More errors and shoddy photography than any set in recent memory. ” -addysdaddy
