Probably the beginning of a life long love and obsession of sports cards for me. Topps minis were collected from one of those little neighborhood mom and pops stores that ceased to exist when Walcrap, Walmart came to town. But as the stories go ,some how some way the Hank Aaron Special card ended up in the bicycle spokes of my bros bicycle, OUCH! Live and Learn. I believe i posess around 227 "75 Topps Minis" to this day, Majority of them are slighty worn but i still admire those cards. Peace, RickyRudd_5

I remember opening my first pack of baseball cards. It was the summer of 1975. I was 8 years old at the time. My friend Jimmy Smiley and I were on vacation at the beach in Rincon, CA. We put together enough change for several packs. I believe they cost about 10 cents a pack in those days for wax, and a bit more for the rack packs. The Savon Drug store sold the Rack packs that you could see the players through the cellophane. The mini cards were very scarce. We didn't know at the time much about the players, or that any of them would be valuable one day. We would trade back and forth, "I'll give you 2 of mine for that 1 of yours that looks cool." At the time I thought the mini cards were just kind of strange. Many years later, I completed the mini set, which I still have today. 1975 Topps has got to be my favorite, because of the memories. Good times!

The first true parallel set...How can this not be a great set...? Robin Yount and George Brett RC's...ALL the MVP's...Typical early to mid-70's set...Very colorful...Overall a great set and a challenge to put together...
