The 1997-98 Pinnacle set was issued in one series totaling 200 cards and was distributed in packs and collectible Mask tins. The fronts feature color action player photos. The backs carry player information.

Epix Season Orange:
This 24-card set was inserted in various Pinnacle products at the following odds: Certified 1:15; Score 1:121; Pinnacle 1:21 and Zenith 1:11.

Epix Season Purple:
Randomly inserted in packs at the rate of 1:19, this 24-card set displays the most memorable season for each player printed on "dot matrix hologram" cards with purple foil highlights.

Pinnacle Tins:
This set features photos of some of the most distinctive goalie masks in the game printed on collectible tins. Each tin contains 30 cards from the 1997-98 Pinnacle Hockey base set as well as insert sets. The tins are unnumbered and checklisted in alphabetical order.
