Unfortunately for Topps and all the card makers at the time, the rookie class for 2007 was weak. There might be 3 or 4 great players from that draft. Then the fact that the design allowed for a flat green border certainly does not help. It’s Topps Total and is aimed more toward the younger collector. But the set fails even in that direction as the cards are not informational enough to really offer insight into the players in an elementary way. Multiple cards of the same player throughout the set also send the message that they were reaching to fill a gap in production for some reason. 2 cards for star players is fine. But this is a little much. Green border is terrible unless it’s a refractor.

I don't like this set for one reason. Way too many multiple-player cards; 2- player/3-player. Literally, half the cards in the set are multiple-player cards.
