- Set features the Rookie Cards of Hall of Famers Carl Yastrzemski and Willie McCovey.
This was the last full set from Topps to use a horizontal orientation card design.
Set was printed and released in 7 different series. - Set features trophy designations for the inaugural Topps All-Star Rookie Team of 1959. With the exceptions of the 1974 set and the 1979 through 1986 sets, the trophies have appeared every year since.
- Cards of teammates #346 J.C. Martin and #407 Gary Peters have their photos swapped.
- Cards #375 through 440 are found with either grey or creme/white backs.
