Trivia |
- Aaron Judge is card number 62. This is a nod to his 62 home run season in 2022 that broke the American League single season home run record which had stood since 1961.
- #143 Nestor Cortes - UER: Referred to as "Nelson" in first line on back
- #183 Seiya Suzuki - UER: MLB Totals in stats are actually the totals from Japan only (No MLB stats included)
- #210 Not Bad, Rook! - The card shows the celebration after Riley Greene's first career home run, a walk-off solo shot to give the Tigers a 4-3 win over Kansas City on July 2, 2022. The Tigers entered the 9th inning trailing by 1 but got back-to-back home runs from Victor Reyes and Greene. The beginning of Greene's career overlapped with the final seasons of future Hall of Famer Miguel Cabrera, with whom he appears on this card. "I grew up watching him," Greene said of Cabrera. "So it's pretty cool to be in the same clubhouse as him." This home run is also commemorated on a "2022 Greatest Hits" insert in the same set (#22GH-10).
- #339 Will Benson - UER: In biographical area ("Born:" and "Home:"), "Atlanta" misspelled as "Altanta"
- #396 Superstar Talk - UER: Card #381 Whit Merrifield misspelled as "White Merrifield" on back
- #540 Alek Manoah - UER: Juan Guzman referred to as "Jose Guzman" in third line on back
- #555 Detroit Tigers - The photo shows Javier Baez celebrating with Jeimer Candelario, Eric Haase, and Austin Meadows after Baez's walk-off single scored Meadows to give the Tigers a 5-4 win over the White Sox on Opening Day in 2022. Photo by Duane Burleson for Getty.
- #626 Ty France - UER: 2022 stat line should say 151 hits

Its an ok set overall, but Topps has a habit of only making cards on white card stock. Boring. However, the player images are nicer. Rating: 5
Overall pretty good. I like the closeup. But no post season cards?! Some odd choices of who to omit. No Patrick Corbin, for example, who had a terrible year, but started 31 games. Unfortunately, since about 1990, the years have kinda blended together. Would love to see an interesting border again and subsets of…something. Rating: 7
Oh get over it "Hunter" .. Jim Thome didn't want Wahoo on his HOF plaque when he was inducted *five years ago*
