- This set was released in two series of 225 cards each and features the first and last Topps cards of 200 different players.
- There are four cases in Series Two where a featured player only had one Topps card issued (i.e. his "first" and "last" card were the same), resulting in the same card being produced twice for this set, the only difference being the tiny 2001 set number. The four players are Ralph Branca (#227/#326), Joe Garagiola (#228/#357), Ralph Kiner (#243/#370) and Satchel Paige (#318/#328).
