Art Rasmussen played for Vancouver Beavers in the Northwestern League in 1911, winning 15 games. His contract was purchased by the Philadelphia Phillies in the fall of 1911. He was released to Allentown in the Tri-State League in the spring of 1912.

In 1919 he played for the Sioux City Indians.

At some point he was suspended from organized baseball. His June 1921 request for reinstatement was denied. By 1923 he was back in organized ball and was signed by the Sioux City Packers.
