I never expected to meet up with a Database member for the first time that day. I had tried to set up a meeting with Chuck for the Adirondack Nationals, also held in Lake George, the week before, but something came up. I even left him a voicemail, which is rare because I like the telephone about as much as I like Panini- it's always in my life but not by choice (LOL). So, the Concours rolls around and I'm telling my brother about the Tucker in front of us, and I hear my name being called. I turn around and it's somebody I don't know, and he introduces himself as C2 Cigars! After chatting with him for a while my brother comes back- he had gone off to take pictures- and I have him take this photo, which is now sort of legendary.

Later that day, I would "meet" an Olympian for the first time- the Best in Show winner was owned by a medalist in the 1952 Olympics (I think, may have the year off) and, although I didn't know it at the time, I would appear in the December 2017 issue of Hemmings Motor News, which you can see a scan of on my website here: https://public.fotki.com/ElCaminoBilly/automotivephotography/hemmings-concours-17/page5.html
