This is one of the premiere cards of the series. Sonja Henie (not Heine) was an extremely popular figure. She was not only one of the most winning figure skaters of all time, she became a very successful film star in the US and has a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. In her skating career, she won Olympic gold in 1928, 1932 and 1936 and was 10 times the world champion in skating. As an actress, she commanded one of the highest salaries at the time and starred in numerous Hollywood movies. -- The number on this card is #43, which is the number of the page on which to attach the card in the Handbook of Sports.
