Weak design, way too many parallels and inserts. We don't need a parallel for every color of the spectrum.
I'm glad that Topps brought back its Future Stars subset while adding a Future a Stars that never were. It was the right move to make. Overall the 2014 Topps set and inserts were solid.
I love all of the inserts, more fun to collect than the base lol some of the parallels are annoying to collect though because they are more rare even though they are base cards with different colored border. Overall, I liked the mini cards blue border and the red foil border.
Really, Topps? We're skipping games 2 and 3 of the World Series? Pathetic.

Well I started putting together series 2 of this set and it keeps getting bigger and bigger Topps they really have to do something with cutting down on all these sub sets and insert cards. I think I am changing my card process by collecting only Topps Chrome sets and get away from these Topps jumbo sets.
Took me awhile to realize no card #7. Guess I'm the slow one. Hard to keep track of everything, I suppose.

2/14/2014 Picked up two jumbo packs from Target and I really do not care for this base set design, something I can live with. The inserts are the best part of this Topps set, love the Red Foil and the Upper Class card are real nice. I always thought this set was way too big if you collect as a master set builder as I do but like always I will plug alone until I complete the set. |
