From everything I've been able to find online about this set--not to mention pouring over the cards themselves--I've concluded that the difference between the base cards and glossy parallels is negligible. I have four of the same card, and from what I can tell, all four are glossies, as they are slightly glossier than the 20th anniversary variation I have of the same card from this same set--and, if memory serves, the reason I have four of them is because, eight years ago, I bought dupes of what I thought was the base card, trying to determine the difference.
