- This set covers the 2012 CPBL season. The set was issued later (December 26th, rather than mid-July) than usual due to failed negotiations with Sinon Co. regarding the use of Sinon's trademarks for the Sinon Bulls. Sinon was in the process of selling their franchise in the CPBL to the E-United Group, who rebranded the team as the EDA Rhinos for the 2013 season. As a result, the Sinon Bulls were left out of the set entirely.
- Due to the licensing issue that resulted in the exclusion of the Sinon Bulls from this set, the base set, and several of the insert sets, are skip-numbered where Sinon Bulls players were expected to be represented.
