- This set, which was Upper Deck's first entry into auto racing, was released in two series, 150 cards each.
- Due to licensing agreements, Dale Earnhardt did not appear in this set, but card #301 was created the following year and was included in packs of 1996 Road to the Cup.
- Cards #3 and #46 in Series 1 are the only ones produced by Upper Deck where the Budweiser sponsorship appears. All future cards (including those in Series 2) have the sponsor removed due to licensing agreements.
