- The backs of the cards contain player vital statistics, year-by-year records, and a short biography of the player. This was the first year Topps returned to "In-Action" cards since 1972.
- This concludes a 12-year run of Topps not having an NFL license. Team logos and logos on helmets return in 1982.
- Only 1 Defensive Tackle (DT) and 1 Safety (S) have the AFC All-Pro designation.
- No player has the NFC Kicker (K) designation. Ed Murray's (#440) card states that he was named All-Pro but Topps didn't give him the designation on the front of the card.
