1932 Lloyd's Cinema Stars

Trivia

  • There are 24 different Golden Age film actresses shown, with the one exception being Joan Crawford, who has two different cards, #1 and #17 (bringing the set to a total of 25 cards). The 1932 date is based on several sources that, when looking at the stars included and the film titles named, believe it was issued in that year.

Other sources, including Murray's Guide, date this set from 1937. Major grading companies such as PSA, SGC (now owned by PSA) and CGC, also index and label these cards using 1937 as the year issued.

Lloyd & Sons issued three additional series of cards with a glossy finish as well: Series 1 (1935) comprises cards #1-27; Series 2 (1935) cards #28-54); and Series 3 (1936) cards # 55-81.
