• The six cards missing due to Bowman/Topps licensing rights are rumored to have been Harry Brecheen (Cardinals), Pete Castiglione (Pirates), Billy Cox (Dodgers), Hoot Evers (Red Sox), Joe Tipton (Indians) and Ken Wood (Senators/Nationals).
• The primary artist of the set was Gary Dvorak, whom Topps paid $25 per card painted.
