The 1956-58 St. Louis Cardinals postcards can be distinguished from 1959-forward Cardinals photocards by the absence of the union label in the lower right corner of the card front and the postcard back (1959-forward are blank-backed). The 1957 and 1958 photocards can be distinguished from the 1956 photocards by the "birds on the bat" logo across the front of the jersey - the 1956 team did not wear jerseys with that logo.
