Set was produced by collector and photographer Jack Wallin and included all living ex-players from the included teams (the 16 pre-1961 expansion teams). Set was released in four series of 100 cards; each series contained 25 cards from four selected teams. Each series cost $7.50, individual team sets $2.50, and the entire set $23.95. Home addresses for each player were provided to the buyer to facilitate collection of autographs (the ex-players agreed to sign cards mailed to them).
