Secret Santa 2020

by vrooomed - 10 cards (Last updated on Dec 23, 2020)

1. 2019 Topps #303 Ranger Suarez

Phillies and Flyers - my 2 favorite teams, can't go wrong. Already had this one, but maybe he'll have great success in the big leagues, and maybe, if not, someone will need this and I can trade it.

2. 2020 Topps - Gold #361 Zach Eflin

The rest, I did not have, so this was a great haul. I have been a fan of the Gold parallel from Topps for a long time (completed the 2015 complete set), so to get this was sweet.

3. 2020 Topps - Turkey Red 2020 (Series 2) #TR-65 Mike Schmidt

Schmidt! Always a great day to pick up a Schmidt card I didn't have.

4. 2020 Topps Gypsy Queen #2 J.T. Realmuto

J.T. - hope he comes back. What a great player - and another great card.

5. 2002-03 Fleer Throwbacks #3 Bobby Clarke

On to the Flyers cards - For some reason, I actually had this on my want list, and I'm nit 100% sure why. However, as I sit here today with my Clarke t-shirt on (under a sweatshirt - it's cold), I'm happy to get this and the others.

6. 2009-10 O-Pee-Chee #596 Bobby Clarke

A legend indeed! Especially in Philadelphia - at least until he became the GM.

7. 2013-14 In The Game Between the Pipes #83 Bernie Parent

Roy, Brodeur, Dryden, Parent - in that order? At least goalies of the last 50 years. Some elite company. Loved watching him play. 70s hockey was very different.

8. 2015-16 Fleer Showcase #97 Bobby Clarke

Another very cool modern Clarke.

9. 2015-16 Upper Deck Portfolio #196 Bobby Clarke

This one looks much better in hand. Great player and a local hero. More than just what he did on the ice.

1999-00 Upper Deck MVP Stanley Cup Edition #132 John LeClair Front

10. 1999-00 Upper Deck MVP Stanley Cup Edition #132 John LeClair

And to top off an already wonderful package of cards, there is this beauty of what looks to be an in-person autograph. I have yet to log the LeClair collection (so nice guess Morgan on this one), so this will go VERY nicely in there (and maybe it will spur me to finish off logging the various collections).

Thank you!

Nice! I think Bobby Clarke is pretty inspiring because of the diabetes aspect. Not many athletes with it and fewer still who become all-time legends.

I'm glad you liked them, I took a couple days trying to figure it out what you may like and since I'm a Pens fan, giving away Philly cards is easy lol

The Leclair auto was received through the mail by him, and I have three more of his. Thought it would be a nice Flyers auto. Merry Christmas!
