NBA Rookie of the Year Award Winners

by Billy Kingsley - 68 cards (Last updated on Sep 4, 2017)

61. 2009-10 Panini #354 Tyreke Evans

2009-10
Interestingly, the Kings have been in other places before moving to Sacramento: Rochester, New York, (1949-57), Cincinnati, Ohio (57-72), Kansas City, Missouri (72-85). They had a Rookie of the Year winner in every city they played in.

62. 2010-11 Panini Season Update #169 Blake Griffin

2010-11
The Clippers, likewise, have had a Rookie of the Year winner in all three cities they played in (Buffalo, New York and San Diego, California)

63. 2012-13 Hoops #223 Kyrie Irving

2011-12.
The rookie class of the 2011-12 season did not get actual rookie cards.

68. 2016-17 Panini Excalibur #98 Malcolm Brogdon

2016-17
Joel Embiid should have been rookie of the year but it was given to Brogdon for political reasons. Brogdon is the first modern era second round pick to be given the award.
I have nothing against Brogdon but he didn't really earn it- he just stayed healthy. Embiid played only 31 games.

The Dallas Mavericks, Denver Nuggets and Miami Heat are the only three current franchises that have never had a ROY winner.
