Just a little list highlighting the Rookie of the Year award winners in NBA history. I have tried to get a card from their rookie season for the list but not all of them got cards that year.

Interestingly, the Kings have been in other places before moving to Sacramento: Rochester, New York, (1949-57), Cincinnati, Ohio (57-72), Kansas City, Missouri (72-85). They had a Rookie of the Year winner in every city they played in.

Joel Embiid should have been rookie of the year but it was given to Brogdon for political reasons. Brogdon is the first modern era second round pick to be given the award.
I have nothing against Brogdon but he didn't really earn it- he just stayed healthy. Embiid played only 31 games.

The Dallas Mavericks, Denver Nuggets and Miami Heat are the only three current franchises that have never had a ROY winner.
