Jaysee's Top 40by jaysee88 - 40 cards (Last updated on May 18, 2015) |
Some of my favorite cards of my favorite players.
31. 1982 Fleer #532 Mike Marshall
I always liked this card because he didn't appear on any cards after '77 except this one in his final season. |
32. 1984 Topps #48 Julio Franco
A youthful Juice..... about 25 years before he finally hung up the spikes. |
38. 1984 Topps #692 Dickie Thon
Dickie in his prime. Had it not been for a severe beanball injury in '84, he may have been one of the best hitting shortstops of all-time. |

I agree that Edgar is a great player! I really wish they would admit him into the HOF, but Baseball has that dumb 75% vote rule. Also, this is a great list.

What a fun and eclectic list. Nice work. v3

Nice list, I like the JR Richard, Nettles, and Mike Norris cards.
Another great inclusion on your list is the last year Davis, and Pinson cards. Good job.

Looked through this again today. Still love this list. The '69 Mantle is the crown jewel, huh? I just picked that card up. But I looked over your collection, and other cards that personally I'd place above the Mantle. I think there was a 1955 or 1956 Jackie Robinson, for example. Interesting what people think of their own cards.
Gotta say, Dave Stewart was the anchor of the A's staff in the 80s. Mike Norris was just a nice pitcher. Stewart, though, consistently took second in the Cy Young voting.
I'll give you Koufax as greatest lefty. Not sure I'll give you "not close." But I never saw him play.
Collect on!
