5. 1974-75 Topps #24 Jacques Lemaire
Never played with or was a member of the Sabres organization. Bit of a caveat, similar to the Topps baseball where the Padres players have 'Washington' as the team, there was significant speculation Lemaire was going to be traded to the Sabres, and they tried to be proactive.

This is one of three cards showing Garo Yepremian wearing #47. Garo never wore #47 in his career; always #1. Garo joined the Dolphins 1 July 1970. Yet his 1972 All-Pro card shows him in his Detroit Lions uniform airbrushed with #47. What's interesting is #47 was his Detroit Lions placeholder Wayne Rasmussen. | ||

Interesting, would not have expected Wikipedia to be correct and a specialty reference like hockeydb to be wrong, which is where I got the info, but photos show he is in fact a left shot. | ||

2023 Topps Heritage High Numbers were released on 13 Dec 2023. Jose Urena became a free agent on 2 Nov 2023 and didn't sign with a team until Jan 2024. Chances are he was teamless when Topps produced the card. Maybe they were guessing or heard rumors? | ||
