One of the few Generals to move from to the Trotters, Donald "Clyde" Sinclair played with Washington in 1987-88 before his 17-year career in the red, white, and blue. He was named "Mr. Globetrotter" by the team in 1998 and was part of the team that represented the Globies when they were inducted into the Naismith HOF in 2002. |
13. 1955 Ashland / Aetna Oil #NNO Richard Kinder
Dick Kinder played with the Generals from 1956 to 1958. Drafted by the St. Louis Hawks out of Murray State, he never played for the team. He's a 2012 inductee of the Indiana Basketball Hall of Fame, on the strength of his contributions to the Winslow HS Eskimos, who went 70-6 during his tenure with the team. |

Kent Culuko left high school as the second-leading scorer in New Jersey history, taking his talents to James Madison University There, he led the Dukes to two NIT appearances and one NCAA appearance, in 1994. He made it to the Nets and Cavs training camps and enjoyed a long overseas career. He's now a pro skills trainer. |

Frank Stephens stood 6'10" and played for the Washington Generals in 1964-1965, and the Harlem Globetrotters from 1966-1975. He also played for the New York Nets of the ABA in 1968-69. |

At least one contemporaneous newspaper article states that late in the 1964-65 season (presumably after he finished his senior season at Miami and before signing with the San Francisco Warriors), Hall of Famer Rick Barry played for the Washington Generals against the Harlem Globetrotters on at least one occasion. |

In the Simpsons episode "Homie the Clown", Krusty took all the money he made franchising his name and bet it against the Harlem Globetrotters because he thought the Generals were due. When the Globetrotters won the game Krusty argued that it was a fix: the Globetrotters had been using a ladder. |
