John Van Dyke is sitting in front of the rails. Bryan James is behind the rails, second person to John's left. I believe the person immediately behind John's left shoulder is Matt Rader, son of then Angels manager Doug Rader. I'm not sure where I was at the time as I started the game in the AL bullpen - wanted to watch Nolan Ryan warm up.

Side note - of the bat boys that season, only John and Bryan attended Liberty Christian School.
