I just received a box-worth of these 1994 Flair USA Basketball cards. In the set, there are two cards of each coach, eight of each men's player, and six individual women's team cards. I noticed that some coach cards that had the wrong foil stamp on front - "Career Highlights" instead of "Personal Note", and vice versa. Also, within the men's team, there was a similar foiling switch with the "Rookie Year" and "Dreamscapes" cards. I also have correct versions of ALL 120 cards in the set.
Should this be recognized as an ERR/COR issue?
The foiling on the backs of the cards is correct & consistent with the card number - just the front foiling is erroneous.
I can verify the following cards "in hand": 2, 7, 8, 13, 16, 21, 24, 29, 32, 37, 40, 64, 96, 104 & 112
I saw COMC had four already on my list, and after sifting through 1000+ listings on ebay, I can add: 1, 93, 101 & 109
So far, they seem to be paired up, except for Reggie Miller's #61 RY with the "Dreamscapes" foiling error.
In my thorough albeit brief searching, I did NOT find any errors with Pete Gillen (3/4), Rick Majerus (5/6), Shawn Kemp (45/48), Dan Majerle (53/56), Alonzo Mourning (69/72), Shaquille O'Neal (77/80), or Mark Price (86/89). Perhaps it is linked to who appeared on certain sheets.
Anyone else care to do a little more digging elsewhere & verify? At least it's easier to spot than a "." or "*" :) Thanks.
BTW, if you browse through the TCDb Gallery for this set, you'll see two of the mis-foiled cards I'm talking about: #7 & #21
(edit: and the Note fields reflect - incorrectly - the wrongly applied foil on front)
