Thanks for digging this one up, it's nice to make a mid-year status check.
So far, this year has exceeded my wildest expectations. I acquired a 1999 Wheels Solo card for my Musgrave collection, and I have gotten cards for every one of the Legends sets I'm working on that has a population higher than 10. Cards that would make my collecting year perfect, at least one of each of these:
2010 Motorsports Masters Blue
2013 Holo
2013 Signature Style Blue
2013 Famous Feats Blue

Ted Musgrave card collection 98.9% Complete: Cards Known: 1013, Cards Owned: 1002 I prefer the company of people who disagree with me for the right reasons over the company of those who agree with me for the wrong reasons.

I'm right where I thought I'd be. Progressing slowly on 1971 and 1970 Topps sets. Won't finish, but that's ok. Improved 68 and 69. Got a card from the 30s and even a Triple folder. Got pleasantly distracted unexpectedly with Gypsy Queens. Hit the new goal of getting 2011-2016 short sets of those. Have continued to look through my whole collection and will finish that shortly.
Yeah, hitting the 2016 goals very pleasantly. And found some new ones. Good collecting year.
And the Cubs are even betterer than the Cardinals than I thought.

1 through 5 are still getting done, 6 will be done by the 27th (that's when the due date is lol), 7 is a LOT longer story than I think I could ever really discuss here openly but I can say this, that on the 23rd it will be 7 months without a cigarette, 8 .... cut back comics to practically nil .... kept the cards =) , put 9 in with 7 and finally admit that number 10 sounded like the best option at the time and more or less still is. 2016 has been interesting to say the least. Sheeeh!! And still six months to go. =/

I struggle w/ this. When I look at all the cards I feel overhelmed. My biggest problem is what to do w/ all the insert cards. Finishing sets cost money I don't have but the inserts all drive me nuts. I love them and hate them. I do want to finish my Topps 2014 World Series Patch cards

Rush, sometimes my card collection gets "overwhelming" and I take a break for a day or two. I tell my GF that my collection is "getting outta control!" at times. Just as much as it overwhelms me at times though, it also keeps me calm and relaxes me.

Not sure how I missed this 1st time around. lol. Back in the day you could collect all sets....plus,,,, NOT anymore, just look at 1 SET and there are another 25 subsets, inserts and more.
Well anyway...other than trying to REORGANIZE....which is just way too time consuming and never ending, my present interests are:
1- Continuing to build the Topps Heritage Sets from the 1st set to present.
2- Continuing to add to my Baseball & Football TEAM LOGO Collection. ?This has turned out to be a lotta fun....and relatively inexpensive. Searching for ALL issues has been really challenging and exciting, but a pretty awesome collection.
3- Recently, I have had interests in adding vintage cards ~~~ Anything FB, BB and Non-Sports from the 50s, 60s and 70s. I have some extra 1960s Baseball and early Star Wars and other non-sports available for trade as well.
Note: I have backed off of trading this Spring, although I have 2 - 3 still in the proposed phase [please be patient].

Working on my 2015-2016 Green Bay Packers Team sets as well as my 2016 Tigers Team sets. Also trying to finish my 1993 and 1994 Packers and 1996 and 1997 Tigers team sets. Little slower this year as people seem to be bidding way to much for some ofhteses cards of unproven players

I thought I posted in here back in January, but I guess not. I don't really set annual goals. I set goals to complete ASAP. Most of my goals since Christmas were to get to a certain number of cards of a specific athlete or to complete a set that isn't quite complete yet.
Thanks to "BOBSCARDZ", I completed my 1993 Pinnacle Series 1 MLB set months ago. I also passed the 1,000 card mark for Jimmie Johnson (NASCAR). I got 3 more NASCAR drivers past the 150-card mark - Ricky Rudd, Kasey Kahne and Kyle Busch. I finally added a Danica Patrick certified AU card to my collection. I have also added nearly 1,000 new cards to my Carolina Panthers NFL collection.
The only goal left that I was working on is still just short. I was trying to pass 200 different cards of NASCAR driver Trevor Bayne before Panini releases new NASCAR cards. I am at 194 now and I have just over a month to get at least 6 new cards. I can do that pretty easily by buying them. I've been trying to do it through trades though.
So far, 2016 has been a great year for me and my card collection! I can't wait to see what Panini does with the NASCAR license this year. Four releases in 4 months is going to be hectic, but I've been saving up for it for many months now. The first release was supposed to come out in April, then around Memorial Day, and now the end of July has been confirmed. I'm so glad they finally got all the contracts completed!

Section 1:
- Got series 1 of 2016 - my series 2 box should be on the way soon.
- 2015 Gold is down to 2 cards (#1 & #616).
- Still missing the big 4 cards from the 1960s - I even made a "List" on here.
- I think I got 1 since the beginning of the year
Section 2:
- All I have done is replace a few of the really bad cards, but not all for any one set
Section 3:
- Almost there
- Did all but the incomplete 1972 set
- Sold them, but got a few more extras
- Reduced by about 1,200
