Not everything in Note1 is alphabetical. I've discussed this before and Admin cleared it.
 

Subset first if specified on the card. (Young Guns, Rated Rookies, Star Rookies, All-Stars, League Leaders, etc.)

Additional general notes about the card go next (AU, MEM, RC), generally alphabetical order but not always depending on the content of the card.
(e.g. A team photo card with the manager's headshot on the front and a team checklist on the back should be "TC, MGR, CL", none of which is in alphbetical order.)

ERR/COR/UER/VAR goes next.

SP/SSP or Print/Serial Number goes next (and should be last in the Note1 field unless there's an "EXCH" note). Anything with a PR or SN does not need SP too....it's already assumed if the card is limited in count.

EXCH at the end only if necessary.

For example, "AU, EXCH, MEM, ROO, SN100, UER" is not an acceptable use of Note1.

Ed, thanks for that clarification. I read the guidelines like C2C and Switzr but thought this might be one of those items that admin has clarified.  I had noticed this in other sets (SN at the end looking out of order) so it's good to know this is the accepted method.

It will be a good day when Note1 becomes a multi-select field, providing the ability to search on any subset of the attributes, with a defined sort order for display purposes.
