So I have this '97 Pinnacle Collectibles Club card of Terry Labonte and they are listed on the site, but this card is a totally different design than the two already posted and this also has the 24kt. logo and gold Pinnacle on it, but the card number is correct. My question is, does this card get added under the Terry that is listed or is there a 24kt. parallel set, or is this something different all together?
Thanks all,
Mike

I personally believe it would be a parallel of the original set, but will wait on clarification from someone who might know more about it. typically associate 24KT Gold with the Action Packed parallels instead of Pinnacle itself (although Pinnacle owned Action Packed). I also notice that your card number is centered where the 2 scanned already are right aligned, so possibly a different set altogether. The front does look very similar other than the 24KT marking, but the back appears to be different from the scanned cards. Hopefully some of the other members can be more helpful.

It looks like that card would be a 24KT prototype card for the set. Read the second bulletpoint in the card in this link.

I'm not sure if the card should be listed solo or added to this set. I'd also like to know why the Irvan card has a different number structure. svenny has one of it but hasn't added scans for that one yet. I hope he'll chime in on this topic.

It is this card- https://www.tcdb.com/ViewCard.cfm/sid/54843/cid/7854094/1997-Pinnacle---Collector's-Club-RC1-Terry-Labonte?PageIndex=1
There are 2 different card designs in that set, don't remember off hand which cards, but I think the design alternated on the RC cards, so the Labonte, Martin, and Wallace are one design, and the Craven, Gordon, and Elliott are the other design. I don't know the history of why the Irvan is numbered different, but I am pretty sure it has the same design as the Labonte.

Wow Andy! That was quick. So did all the cards with the above design have the 24KT stamp on them? If so, we need to add that to Note1.

I added the note for the Terry card. The others will need to be added as we get more proof of which ones are the 24KT design.

We're always happy to help. And thanks to you for adding the scans for the card.
Edit: I also requested this thread be linked to the set's forum. I got no reply but it looks like it got moved there now. So maybe we find out in the future which cards were which design now.
