Good idea to not ignore this. The card number is sideways and they used a font that is tough to tell which side it the top of the numbers and which side is the bottom.
When something like this is printed this way, it's best to try to find images of other cards in the set, especially those with numerals like 4 or 7 in them, and those cannot be mistaken for top and bottom. The numerals 8, 1, 6/9, 2 and 5, depending on how stylized the font used is, can be confused. I can easily see how the confusion arose in this situation.
