1995-96 Collector's Choice Hockey Forum

Dear Collectors,

I opened some 95-96 UD Collector's Choice packages and I found these cards

in one pack, with some Players Platinum cards (maybe it was some "god pack"):

C12 Owen Nolan with date 24 march.

C13 Peter Bondra with date 21 march.

And C14 Cam Neely with date 28 feb.

Is this the fourth variant of YCTG cards?

Have you seen such cards from other players?

If I remember correctly each player within the insert set had 3 versions of Silver, each with a different date and 3 Gold versions with different game dates. If the player scored in one of the games dated on the card you could exchange that card for either a Silver foil or Gold foil set of all 30 players. I don't believe there was a fourth variation ... but I've been wrong before?   

Since the dates are done in foil, It very easily could be a sheet(s) were misfoiled.

This was my initial thought, and then I looked up the dates for this season, and if this was a misfoiling, they got VERY lucky as all three teams had games on the dates shown on these cards.

However, I'm not ready to call these an additional variation yet either.

Steve Yzerman has a March 24th date , Alexei Yashin has a March 21st date & Jason Arnott has a Feb.28th dated crash the game card.

Maybe the sheet wasn't lined up as 2Cigars mentioned and they (UD) got very lucky as Dan stated. If I were the OP on this one I would be buying lottery tickets tonight!

FYI this topic was in response to IR #404102. Upper Deck did these for all four sports and I've never seen four different dates for one player.

No need to apologize for your English when it's a second (or third, or fourth) language. There are plenty of native speakers on this site who can't use the language properly.
