1990-91 Upper Deck French Hockey Forum

The database lists a Hologram/Sticker insert set for 90-91 Upper Deck French, but I am wondering how one would differentiate the French version from the English?  The only marking on the card is the copyright info on along the bottom.  Has anyone ever seen one with an LNH copyright instead of the NHL?  That seems like the only possible way they might be different.  

My guess is that UD just shared these across both the English and French versions and there would be no way to tell any difference between them.  Any thoughts on this?

Never actually thought about it that way, LNH instead of NHL.  come to think of it, I haven't paid that close attention to see if the copyright mark is different in general.  If the base set is "LNH" then I would say that yes, the holograms would say LNH as well.  Gonna peak at some scans right aways here...

As far as I can tell it says "NHL is a trademark of..." on the back of the french cards.  I won't be able to tell for sure till I go home and check the base cards I have in person.  As it stands, it looks like there isn't really a french set for the holo's.  Sure they may have come in the packages, but it's likely just recycled from the english.

Yeah, I checked several websites and eBay and looked at all the examples I could and all simply stated an NHL copyright.

As Dixxy suggested, I suspect that the same holograms were inserted into both English and French products.

Well, my personal checklist just got a new brand:  "Upper Deck\Upper Deck French"  No sense collecting 2 of each version and stating that one of them is French...
