2001 Super Shots CHP California Speedway Racing Forum

I found this card in a recent purchase and I believe it is from 2001 Super Shots CHP California Speedway set based on what I see. I looked at Beckett guide and can't find the set for 2001, but can for 2002. The only issue is the card is numbered CS2 which doesn't match the 2002 listing. The 2002 listing in Beckett does mention this is the second set in the series.  This is the only card I received in the set, so I don't know who is in the rest of the set of 6 cards.

You are correct, that appears to be from the 2001 Super Shots CHP California Speedway set.  There is no checklist for it in the database yet.

I tried to add it to the database, but @svenny was asking me questions about it and wanted me to upload an image to the forum to review. I think he wanted to see it to confirm it isn't from the 2002 set before adding.

We need to try to find a complete checklist first, we can't do it just yet with a single card.  There needs to be some more research done first.

Tom, check with Les Haines. Knowing him he probably has the set. He recently joined here

Tom, I just checked Les`s site and I didn`t see any of those cards on his wantlist so he probably has the set. If you want I can call him and ask him.

This post caught my interest.  I do not have any 2001 Super Shots CHP set in my collection - although I have extensive 2001 Super shots cards from the Hendrick Motorsports sets.  If I assume this is a small set (6 cards maybe?) I will keep a lookout for this set as I continuously look for 2001 Super Shots Terry Labonte for my collection and search ebay for "2001 Super Shots" on a regular basis. I can't help with a checklist for this set. iceiron5

After much searching (6 different boxes in my collection) I have found the 4 card set # CS1-CS4.

2001 Super Shots California Speedway set of 4 cards - Checklist as follows:

CS1- Cover Card for California Speedway set titled Race Day April 29, 2001.

CS2- Titled Dale Jarrett and Robert Yates Owner

CS3- Titled Bobby Labonte and Joe Gibbs Owner

CS4- Titled Tony Stewart and Joe Gibbs Owner.

I do see two sets now listed under 2002 for California Speedway in addition to the 2001 set recently added.
