In 2024 Topps series I, there is a partial parallel set with the player's team colors/logo along the border. They are actually pretty good looking, IMO. You can find them on Ebay being billed as SSP, which to be fair, these are supposed to be a one per case hit. But let's do some math. It seems reasonable that Topps produced 100,000 cases (probably more) and since this is a 300 card parallel, that means there are 333 of each card. Now there are several other parallels with fewer prints that are not selling for nearly as much. I am curious if I am missing something or is my estimate of 100,000 cases way off?

Your estimate is off. Looking at the posted odds, the base clear parallel is SN10 and is only available in hobby boxes, at 1:45 boxes. So 10 x 350 x 45 = 157,500 hobby boxes. The odds for the Team color border is 1:12 boxes, so that’s 13,125 cards, divided by 300 different cards is 43.75 of each. But unlike the clear, the team border are available in jumbo boxes, value boxes, hanger packs, and fat packs, so the actual number could be 2-3x that or more. Probably somewhere around 100 of each, still more than would justify the current prices, but mainly it’s the unknown scarcity of them (at this point).

It's all about being new at the moment. Just wait for a couple of months and you should able to get commons for a few bucks. Stars may maintain prices.

I was going to try and math out some of the other box options, but it looks like http://baseballcardpedia.com/index.php/2024_Topps did the work already. Under parallels, they state, “We estimate 315 copies of each Series One Team Color Border, 140 copies of each Series One Golden Mirror Image and 100 copies of each Series One True Photo variations were produced.”
So the original estimate by RWBradley was pretty close, just how he got there was off. Interesting info to have. Glad you asked the question!

Thanks Tscastle. At least I earned partial credit.
I always find it funny that the most common word used on Ebay is "rare".

My son picked up a Royals Team Color Border card for me. I think it was $6 plus shipping. It looks nice, but I wouldn’t spend lots of money trying to get more of them.
If/ when the prices drop it would be fun to get one card from each team.

Thanks for the info, I will wait for it. I also want to share a thing that I found a few days ago; it was about my study. I was busy with my project, which I am working on now, and I forgave that. I also had to submit my assignment, and I remembered it one day before the submission date, and then one friend suggested I visit this website called https://domypaper.com/ DoMyPaper. They are a writing service, and on this day I submitted my work and got good marks. A huge thank you to my friend for sharing them with me.
