Hi all,
There's something pretty unusual about this card. Can anyone guess what it is? What are some other cards with this property?

I guess this was too easy. Good job, C2Cigars!
Apparently Lofton was brought to the Raiders before the 1993 season, but was cut before the season started. Topps must have printed the card under the assumption he would make the team. He ended up playing with the Eagles and Rams that year.
A similar card is the 1974-75 Topps Wilt Chamberlain card showing him with the San Diego Conquistadors. He never played a game for them, but was in fact their coach that year. I do wonder how many other cards there are where the player did not play at all for the team in the year of the card (or the previous year).

Or the 1972 Topps #659 Bob Aspromonte showing him as a Cincinnati Red. He was invited to training camp but never made the team. It's very common in the 1960 Fleer AFL cards.
Sounds like a good subject for a List.

Jarrett Jack's card this year has him on the Hawks, but he was released before the season started.

I thought you all meant we had the team wrong in the database. Which, as I'm writing this, I think we do - Rams?

Wow. The team must have been set to the Rams in the past 24 hours. That's clearly wrong as the card definitely shows him as a Raider. (I've just changed the card back to the Raiders.)
Billy -- I hadn't considered draft picks and the like. That's a good point. Maybe this isn't as unusual as I thought.

He signed as a free agent but didn't make the team. He ended up with the Rams for one game and then went to the Eagles in 1993. So when they produced the card he was with the Raiders.
