1993 Action Packed Football Forum

Curious on why the Rookie Update set is treated like a part 2 for 1993 unlike it's own set like it is for 1990, 1991, & 1992.
It was a different release with different design, different packs, different inserts etc. In fact it had much more variation in designs than 1990-1992 did. The only difference I see is the numbering system, which instead of having card numbers starting back at 1 again it continued like a Series 2.

I'm not againtst counting it as a Series 2 like what is done for Topps etc, am just curious if there was any reasoning besides the card numbers.

You answered it. The update was a continuation of numbering, while the previous years restarted at #1.

Exactly, instead of calling it Series 2 they called it Rookie Update.
