Does the "A Robot (Kraftwerk)" card get a card name link for the band, or should that card name field also be delinked and the band linked at the bottom? It's not an individual card, there's no band member named "A Robot", that's simply just a robot, lol.

Likewise, there's a "Morrissey (The Queen Is Dead)" card, but The Queen Is Dead is the name of an album, not a band. Is the rule/guideline that a card name field should be delinked if there's anything at all except for the name of the PID being linked?

This card should only have Morrissey in the Name field.

Basically a character from a song/album. Link to band only (in link below).

I think maybe TCDB's FAQ needs a literal Excel flowchart of card naming guidelines, lol. "Put what's on the card UNLESS it's this EXCEPT in the case of that and ONLY link if...", etc.
"(The Queen Is Dead)" goes in Note2, then? As is? Or with a preface like "Album:"?

There's already a caveat in the FAQ about "style" from the manufacturer. A card that has "B. Ruth" on it is supposed to have "Babe Ruth" in the name field in our checklist here according to the FAQ. The Queen Is Dead has absoultely NO bearing on who is on that card, and it's the manufacturer's "stylistic choice" that put that there. (Which was really the impetus behind what we were, ahem, discussing the past couple days. I thought that the parenthetical band name was stylistic choice, not a hard fast name.) Hence the only Morrissey should be in the Name field.

Putting an album like The Queen Is Dead in parentheses is definitely a wrinkle. On the other hand, they already identified Morrissey with a band name on another card in the same set, so maybe that explains the outlier. Also, apparently, NME reeeeeeeally loves that album, like, they think it's the greatest album of all time, so maybe they just couldn't resist the temptation to mention it.
Beating a dead horse, or rather, petting a dead horse: You weren't being unreasonable about interpreting the parenthetical band names as just an auxiliary identifier. I can see how one could judge them to be merely that, even if I disagree. They'd still need to be linked to the band, though, even if they're just helpful reminders of who the individual is, because collectors will think of that card as a band card, too, collectors will look for it on the band checklist, and inputters will see the band name. It's impractical to expect inputters to consistently make that subjective judgment call about whether a band name qualifies a card as a band card or is just a personal modifier or whatever. Much easier to just follow a "If the band is named, link the band" rule. Cutting the Gordian Knot, or rather, mending it.

Should "(The Queen Is Dead)" be mentioned in Note2, and if so, how would you do it? Or should it just be omitted altogether?

Note2 is completely optional for stuff like this. If I was to put it in Note2, I would not include the parentheses. I'm not sure I'd even add it.
Note2 is only "required" when the cards has ERR, COR, UER, or VAR in Note because we need to describe why it has one of those in the Note field.

Since the card image is uploaded and people can see it there, then I'll omit it entirely.
There are some cards from the 1974 and 1980 Samlarsaker sets that have clunky/weird/foreign card names which should probably be streamlined, too. Whichever card names ought to be streamlined, I'll upload the images for, if they're missing.
