What is the difference between the base set and the Xcitement parallel?

They look to be the exact same card. I have the Jay WIlliams RC (#135) without a S/N.

That is a good question. The color is only slightly different (base is slightly lighter than the Xcitement parallel), but the main difference is the card thickness. The base takes a regular top loader and the Xcitement parallel needs a 55pt top loader.
