Regarding the distinction between "holo-lux" and non-"holo-lux" cards, you are correct. Cards categorized as "holo-lux" indeed have stamping and feature a "mosaic"-like pattern in the player's background. You can see this in the reference images I previously posted. Notice the "ANSG" (holo-lux) card has a parallel pattern in the player background, whereas the "ANDA" card presents a plain or solid color background. There could potentially be other indicators, but without a physical card in hand, I cannot confirm this.
I agree that your JJ McCarthy card does not fall into the "holo-lux" category, as it lacks the characteristic "mosaic"-like pattern in the player background.
