How to distinguish series 1 vs. series 2 e-cards?

I bought a Kobe Bryant card numbered EC1 from the 2000-01 Upper Deck "e-card" insert set in a dollar bin last week. Problem: We have separate series 1 and 2 checklists here, with Kobe as card number EC1 in both sets and neither one with an image already uploaded. So how do I determine if I have the series 1 or series 2 card? I'm guessing the expiration dates on the back are different, but I can't make the dates out on any of the other scans here. Mine expired 10/12/01.

Besides the different photos, Series 1 has a copyright year of 2000, while Series 2 has a copyright year of 2001.
