I've just started delving into vintage F1 and recently bought a 50 card lot and a box of sealed packs of these on a whim. The lot arrived today and while I wasn't expecting much they're actually a really nice card in hand! The images are striking and the slightly larger cut and glossy back gives it a premium photograph appearance that doesn't really compare to anything else I've seen.
Three of the Mario Andretti cards from the lot also have the blue stamp on the back, which after running through a translation app roughly translates to "Oh my god. JACKPOT LUCKY CARD. You're on!! Let's exchange it with the key goods at the shop that was" so I'm assuming it was some kind of redemption card? I'm also wondering if the Niki Lauda cards from this set could be considered rookie cards, as the only other rookie "cards" of his that I could find prior were the 1974 Panini "Sport Vedettes" stickers.
Any other info (print runs, redemption prizes etc.) would be greatly appreciated as there is literally no information about this set outside of TCDB and a couple of random eBay listings.
Cheers! :)
