2020-21 Upper Deck Allure Hockey Forum

During a recent trade offer from a member, they had one of the of the cards from the "2005 Shield" insert sets listed on their side of the trade. While pulling that card I checked the back and noticed that the narrow black strip had no white text on it which should read "NHL Shiled 2005". That missing text looks just like the backs of the "base cards" from this product. I had listed 5 of these "Shield" cards listed on my Sale/Trade list so I checked them all and they all had the missing text so I pulled them from my list. These inserts are exclusive to the retail Walmart Blaster boxes. I have since written to Upper Deck about this issue. Has anyone else found these error cards from Walmart blaster boxes?

I have 87 base cards that have "NHL Sheild 2005" written across the black strip

Do they have the NHL sheild border around the outside edges on the front as well?

Nope, they are the base cards with base borders but the back has "NHL SHEILD 2005" in the blacl strip. I keep them seperated from my other doubles and don't have them listed FS/T

Well that's odd. Guess they messed up a few cards from this product then.

Sounds like they got the backs mixed up (wrong backs). Question is are they all like this or just a small amount of sheets got through with wrong backs.

Thanks for the offer but my want list is a bit selective and I would only use them for future trades. Although Chuck (C2Cigars) does collect Buffalo cards so maybe he'd be interested in one or both?
