I got a bunch of packs of topps 2020 update at Walmart. Got two royal blue parallels out of two packs and two blue parallels out of the other two. The royal blue is definitely lighter than the darker blue. Dark blue parallels aren't listed in checklist or parallel sets. Has blue just not been added yet?

This is what he's referring to

Powder blue (really light) is SN50 whereas the Royal Blue (dark) isn't. I pulled a Royal out of the one fat pack I found and thought is was navy blue at first

They are not numbered. They aren't powder blue either. Closer to navy. Two packs said blue parallel and two packs said royal blue parallel. Two are darker than the royal blues.

After looking through examples, they all appear to be the Walmart royal blue. Some of them are just clearly darker than others. Thanks for any replies. Still not good with all the parallel/refractor/insert stuff yet.

Good Day All -
I also bought some packs at WalMart recently and received a black parallel that is not serial numbered. All the pictures I have looked at for the parallels seem to have the color in carbon fiber type weave, mine is just a flat black. It was placed in the pack with the other inserts as well. Photo can be arranged in a day of two if necessary. Thanks in advance.

The Royal Blue looks black. I got my mine from WalMart too and when I pulled it that is what I initially thought, black. Upon further investigation.....

I just opened a couple of hanger boxes from Walmart and wondered the same thing. Of the four Royal Blue cards (2 per box) I got, 2 clearly have the the royal blue color with the diagonal lines, but two look like a dark navy blue with no diagonal lines. Upon closer inspection, though, I think what happens is that both the blue color and the diagonal lines are affected by the photo on the card. When the photo is darker, the diagonal lines don't show up and the Royal Blue color looks more like dark navy blue.If you look at the Grandal card below as an example, you can see the lines are more visible where his left foot is behind the border due to his white pants. Similarly you can see the clarity of the lines changes where the background goes from the dark green outfield walll to the lighter color crowd.
