Any update to this? 

Would love to see a checklist for the hologram variation from the high series. For now I am just running both in 9 pocket pages.

Sorry guys! I know I started this thread, but I never got full clarification on this set and the "hologram parallels" back then. Since so much has changed on the site with the way that we do or can list these cards since 2018, it is time for this topic to be re-visited. We need more info though. I STILL have my box of 92-93 UD basketball cards sitting under my NES table. It's just been sitting there waiting for me to do something with it since I first started this thread. Several boxes of other stuff blocked it from view over the years, but it's fully visible again. Let's see what we can accomplish on this one.

So it seems that all cards from 2-310 should have a VAR listed for the "text & diamond logo hologram". They were originally printed with only the diamond logo hologram. The 2nd printing packed with the High Series cards matched the hologram for cards 311-510. ALL of my high series cards have the same logo. I have 35 Series 1 cards with both holograms. Can we add this variation now? Seems to be confirmed.

Go right ahead and add them (if you can guarantee without a doubt that every card (you named) is affected by this.

Don't forget the mark all the existing ones as "Diamond logo". You can do this by adding "VAR: Diamond Logo hologram" to Note2, "VAR" will need to be added to Note, and the Number will need the [a] added to the extra field (that needs to be done after Note2 is updated). And since this is a base set, you'll need to do those 3 steps manually to each card. (This is exactly what I did for the 1987 - 1992 Donruss sets, as well as a few others.)

Then you can append the [b] versions. After that, you can get Admin to re-sort them and put the filters in. Have fun!

I'll work on it this weekend. Didn't know if they had to be added manually or if Admin had a quicker way. If I knew a couple of hours ago, I could've already gotten started. Been working on IR's tonight though and resolved quite a few, including some old ones I missed seeing before now.

Since we have a page 1 IR about this topic, I wanted to bring it back up to see if someone can start another Google sheet so the community can track/confirm VARs. I have the whole set and a few extras, so I can assist as needed.

A quick summary:

-- The 1992 Upper Deck hologram has just the Upper Deck diamond logo.



-- The 1993 Upper Deck hologram has the words "UPPER DECK" and an Upper Deck diamond logo.



-- Any Lo Series cards that were randomly inserted in the Hi Series packs (#2-31, #34-310) were given the 1993 hologram. This is the range of cards where we would need to confirm both holograms exist.

-- Any cards that were specific to one series only do not have variations, so #1a, #32a and #33a (Lo Series, 1992 hologram only) and #1, #1b, #32, #33 and #311-510 (Hi Series, 1993 hologram only) should NOT be included in this research.

My bad Ed! I got completely side-tracked from that after my posts in May. I am quite sure that everything I posted in May was correct. If you want to work on this, go for it! There never was a Google Sheet and I honestly think there is no reason for one. We know what was released with the second hologram (the 1993 hologram). If you want to go the difficult route of a Sheet, go ahead and do it. I'll check again to confirm what I have when you do. I just don't have enough time or personal drive to tackle this one still or again.
