Just joined in on the "fun" of adding my ABC's & DEF's.
I did notice one possible error on the list. I had a #544 Todd Zeile with a D, so his pair might be C/D, not A/B.

Looks like the 4 visible on COMC all have C.
Google doc has A/B listed. Doesn't say who put that in.

I finally got around to updating my excel checklist with all the VAR's, and am wondering how members are putting their sets together... all base as 1 set and all VAR's as another, or just as 1 master set?.. not quite sure which way i'd like to go with it, and any opinions are greatly appreciated.

I'm doing all of mine as master sets. All the VARs go together in the order they appear in the DB. The VARs also forced me to change how I store sets. All my sets are in 800ct boxes. The VAR sets are now in 2-3 boxes (1-330, 331-660 for example). If I ever binder my stuff, the VARs will probably just all go into one slot. Easier to do considering the thin card stock they used back then. Of course, I may never be able to binder my sets so....

For my collection, I do not collect the different VARs like this. I really only collect VARs if they were intentional variations meant to be collected as such when they were released. There may be exceptions to that, but letters on the back of a card and a different copyright line don’t interest me. If I have any of them, I consider any others duplicates.
However, I do like to still make sure that I have documented which version in my collection I have just for the sake of accuracy. I am very much a fan of these VARs all being listed on the same checklist instead of listed as parallels like some of the sets used to be listed.
