Since the 1991 Topps baseball has variations does that mean that the Desert Shield cards also have variations?

It is unlikely that there are Desert Shield variations, although proving something doesn't exist is always difficult.  But there are a number of collectors out there that are really into DS cards and variations, and they have been searching and never turned up any variations.  Main reason being it is believed that the DS cards were printed once and that was it, so there was no opportunity to make changes to printing plates or cardboard stock.

If I remember correctly, 1991 Topps Desert Shield does not have any variations. This is because it used one specific printing of 1991 Topps (which began with two distinct printings for two separate markets plus the subsequent printings that corrected errors).
